Some of her teaching materials were soaked, and she needed to walk in the water to get them. It was a big hassle for her, but at least the school gave her a cabinet where she can place materials in case of flooding.

Phoebe ClarkePhoebehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14062380257579611137noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1838145012423671415.post-44573156739129419162012-05-01T20:52:48.913-04:002012-05-01T20:52:48.913-04:00OOooooO OooOOOoo I was one of the amazing teamies!...OOooooO OooOOOoo I was one of the amazing teamies! :) Glad we saved everything from the flood!!Aiden Parker Crafthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18294587454929505540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1838145012423671415.post-82274156437615292312012-04-26T09:21:19.428-04:002012-04-26T09:21:19.428-04:00Oh, wow! Not the most efficient strategy I've seen for water removal, but I guess he was trying. Thank goodness our custodian showed up with his jumbo floor cleaner sucky-up machine thing. It was a truly miserable experience, and I am so sorry about what happened to you. (SN: did the maintenance men not even notice the flood? They put the wrong kind of sealant on the roof and then it poured (as it often does here in Portland). The water leaked all the way through and FILLED. Normally all my stuff would have been packed, but I had decided to start early because I had moved rooms....bad idea. The water filled 10 book tubs, and most of the non-fiction section of books. Thankfully I was teaching summer school, in another part of building, and came back to get my stuff, otherwise there would have been a lot more books damaged.

Laurie
Chickadee JubileeMiss Footehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12102534483407390519noreply@blogger.com
