I am so excited to be sharing this giveaway with you! Here's what one of you wonderful teachers can win this week... a Target gift card, cute tote bag, and 5 great books for your enjoyment. A.W.E.S.O.M.E. :)
*Do you see the bag? "We like BIG BOOKS and we cannot lie."
LOL! I know you're singing that song now in you're head.

I'm currently reading "Love and Other Subjects" by Kathleen Shoop. I was immediately sucked into this book and look forward to any free moment when I can pick it up again. It's about a young teacher trying to navigate through the struggles and experiences of that first year in the classroom and find love at the same time. Good read! I'll post more once I finish reading it. You can follow Kathleen's author pages here: Twitter and Facebook.

DeleteOur PTO always has an appreciation lunch for us, which is nice. Too bad it's not duty-free, though!
ReplyDeleteI love it when I get notes from the parents....telling me why they appreciate me!

It's my first year as a teacher, so I'm looking forward to see what the week brings. I'm also looking forward to BOGO at Chipotle tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThis is my first year of teaching as well...we'll see what the week brings.
ReplyDeleteMy school this year is bringing spa into our teacher lounge and we get free massages, cucumber eye treatments and relaxation treatment during our planning time! :)
ReplyDeleteOur PTO gave us breakfast yesterday. It was so nice!
ReplyDeleteI feel like a copycat for prekexplorer! I too am a first year teacher so I'm excited for what's in store. Yesterday my school gave us breakfast; every day they are giving us something - I think today is ice cream? And we have a lunch on Thursday. And I am also excited for Chipotle BOGO too!

Teaching in the Valley
I recieved a gift basket from a parent with a gift card, flowers, and lotions, etc..!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for including Love and Other Subjects in the winnings!! I'm so happy you like it. This is a huge honor for me! Thanks for all you do for kids!
ReplyDeleteI'm out on medical leave recovering from a surgery, so I'm not teaching this week to get any "appreciation." But...in the past years our PTO always throws us a nice luncheon and they have groups of kids come in to perform (singing, dancing etc) for us. They love it, and it is fun to watch.
ReplyDeleteI teach for free. I do music as a volunteer because our state has no funding for it. The best thing anyone has ever done is say, "Thank You." That means so much, especially when coming from a little one.

I have a huge sweet tooth so the best gift I've gotten was homemade cookies. Yum!
ReplyDeleteI love the luncheon that PTA provides for us. Sadly, I'll miss it tomorrow because I'll be home with a sick child. :(
ReplyDeleteI have a colleague's daughter and they made me a basket with some of my "favorites." She was so excited to give it to me.
ReplyDeleteActually, all of the blog posts, giveaways & sales are the best part. My school doesn't do anything special for teacher appreciation. dbednarsk@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteOur teacher luncheon was the best! The parents decorated our lounge and the food was sooo yummy, AND to top it off, we were given gift bags plus a chance to win a pedicure at a local spa.

My students all bought me flowers today. It was very sweet and thoughtful.
ReplyDeleteWe have a teacher luncheon each year from our Parent Council, but this year my mom surprised me with a $50 TPT gift certificate! Perfect timing. It's already spent!!
ReplyDeleteWe had lunch from Honey Baked Ham. That was pretty good :)
ReplyDeleteOur PTA always sponsors a lunch for us. But, the best gifts are the handmade notes from students :)

I think the nicest thing is that it is remembered in my house as I am a homeschool teacher, but my husband knows how hard I work and he makes sure that I get extra appreciation during teacher appreciation week.
ReplyDeleteOne of my kiddos brought me my favourite Starbucks coffee drink first thing in the morning!
ReplyDeleteNotes from my kids :)

Our local Association does a little something for us everyday. A little goodie/beverage, pens and post-its, mouse pads, quotes and poems. Our administration put on a BBQ lunch for us as well. But it is the little notes and pictures from the kids that mean the most.

This week I got two "nice notes" from our VP. It made me feel like my classroom Bucket Fillers program is definitely worth it. Handwritten sentiments have to be the best!

The best thing is getting a simple "thanks for all you do!"
ReplyDeleteGreat lunches this week! A parent brought me Chinese on Monday and our PTA had a catered Olive Garden lunch for the staff on Wednesday! Super yum!
ReplyDeleteA couple of the teachers at my school send notes home to all of the parents asking them to send in different treats each day. We had donuts, cookies, popcorn, candy. It was great!

Thank you to all of you for participating in my giveaway this week! I loved reading all of the ways you were thanked by students, parents, and administrators! My principal had many treats for us this week. I also got a few sweet things from my students. I am so lucky to be a teacher!

ReplyDeleteThe issue is that in the event that you buy an irregular strategy for success off the Internet for your business, what you'll discover is that it is not sufficiently clear to be useful. These are regularly exceptionally misty and don't convey the reasonable, regulated bearing you require with a specific end goal to inspire you or your speculators. cash advance san-diego
