File-tastic!

I have gotten numerous emails and comments about where I got my black hanging organizer as seen in this post last year.

I just went to the website where I got it and saw that they are having a sale on their classroom decor... and filetastics are only $5.00!  Seriously, folks, only $5.00!  I can't believe the deal.  The website is http://www.mardel.com/.  They have lots of different colors so surely they have one to match your classroom decor.  Here's the link directly to the filetastics.  Go check it out!  :)

  3. Awesome! I'm so excited to get one!

What, exactly, do you use yours for? I was thinking that it would be a neat way to keep the weeks copies, missed work, etc. in a place that is easily accessible for my 7th graders!

  4. That makes me mad! I ordered one after I saw your post and paid almost $14 for it! haha. Hopefully the colorful files are on sale :)

Question: I noticed you have yours hanging over the top of your file cabinet also. How did you secure it down?

  5. LOVE THE FILE IDEA!!! I am a 1st grade teacher in Las Vegas and I am your newest follower!

Thank you for all of your inspirational ideas! At the end of this last school year, I began handing out BRAG TAGS to my kids for their citizenship and attendance. These tags are so much fun and my kids LOVE them! They are so economical and better than a silly toy or candy.

    Just a thought :) Renee

  9. I bought 7 of them. I teach 7th grade and will hang these on the wall so each student has their own folder and can turn in their homework that way. Keeps the papers in alphabetical order for grading, recording in grade book, and refilling. Plus, each student gets to decorate his or her folder to their own personality.

  13. Thanks! I have a red one from a local teacher supply store, but it totally clashes with my classroom decor. Black will be perfect and ole red will get moved to the wall inside the closet!

  17. Did you ever explain how you have yours attached to your file cabinet? I want to hang mine up ASAP and I was curious as to how you did it!

    1. I used clear packing tape. I put about 4 pieces of rolled tape along the top edge and put that up on the top of my filing cabinet. I thought for sure it was going to fall within the first few weeks of school, but it never did! It stayed the whole year just like that! I think it has a couple of holes at the top so you could use some hooks.
